Overview

For marketing and everyday use, an NFC card holds an NDEF record that points a phone to a web page, contact card or app. NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216 are NFC Forum Type 2 chips that work at 13.56MHz; the main difference is memory.

  • NTAG213 (about 144 bytes) — plenty for a URL.
  • NTAG215 (about 504 bytes) — longer data.
  • NTAG216 (about 888 bytes) — vCards with more fields.

Access control and secure closed systems often need a different chip family (for example MIFARE) and a specific reader set-up — tell us your reader and software before we confirm a card. Common uses: NFC business cards, membership check-in, event entry, menus and Google review cards.

FAQs

Which NFC chip do I need?

For a single URL, NTAG213 is usually enough. Choose NTAG215 or 216 for longer data such as detailed vCards. Access-control systems may need a different chip entirely.

Can you encode every card differently?

Yes — send a spreadsheet of URLs or IDs and we encode and print each card to match.

Will an NFC card open my door system?

Only if the chip family and format match your reader. Send the system make and model; we check compatibility before quoting.

Ready to specify it?

Send the quantity, finish and anything the card has to work with. We confirm stock, compatibility and price before anything is printed.
