Overview
Most of a visitor or temporary card doesn’t change: your logo, colours and instructions. The details that do — a name, a date, a code — can be printed on a thermally rewritable face, erased and printed again with a compatible card printer.
The typical construction is a rewritable thermal layer on one face and standard PVC on the other, so the fixed full-colour design sits on the PVC side. That suits visitor passes, temporary staff cards and short-run offers where reprinting the whole card would be wasteful.
Rewritable is a reuse story, not a recycled-content claim. Printer compatibility is essential — we confirm it against your printer model (and whether it has a rewrite function) before you order. If you don’t have a printer, ask whether a reissue service is available.
